Central Bank BPO

Legal organization of regulatory routines, reporting and responses to Central Bank requests.

Regulatory BPO organizes the recurring tasks required for an institution's relationship with the Central Bank. Its scope can cover an inventory of obligations, a delivery calendar, documentary review and support in preparing responses. The starting point is identifying the type of institution, its authorized activities and the internal persons responsible for each piece of information, avoiding treating different institutions as if they were subject to the same set of requirements.

Outsourcing tasks does not transfer the legal responsibilities of the institution and its officers. For this reason, the working model must provide for internal approval, data quality, access control and recording of the deliveries made. Legal advisory helps interpret obligations and document decisions; accounting, prudential and operational information remains the responsibility of the relevant internal areas. Managing pending matters requires distinguishing the submission of a document from its actual acceptance by the regulator.

Our work

  • Inventory of obligations and internal owners
  • Legal review of reports and regulatory responses
  • Organization of evidence and tracking of pending matters

Does hiring a BPO provider transfer responsibility to the Central Bank?

No. Execution may receive external support, but the institution and its officers remain subject to the responsibilities set out in the applicable rules.
